Ever since Christmas my Fireplace has been very bare,{well not bare, full of the random things that get put in places that dont have purpose} because I wasn't sure what to put there. I have always loved Anthropologie's cloth letters but for a price of 14.50 ea it would have cost me $120 to buy my new deco for the fireplace. Instead I decided to make my own, cheaper and more one of a kind.
First I took about 6 different left over fabrics with and with out prints and by hand drew the first letter. I then usd that letter as a guide for all the others to make sure the stayed the same size. You must cut 2 of each letter, a front and a back.

Put the front and the back of each letter right sides in and stitch around the edges, just remember to leave a hole for the stuffing. {also letters like A D P R and so on that holes inside the letter you'll have to sew the hole once it is turned right side out}
Then you'll want to flip it inside out and proceed to stuff it with batting, {i used on older pillow I had laying around}
Use a needle and thread to stitch up the hole.

And Voila!

You may notice I used different fabric on either side of my letters, this way I can flip them around and make them reversible, all except for the N can be turned around for a whole new look!
I would love to make some of these for the kids room, in a pretty soft grey, spelling their names, or spell out the word LOVE in a deep Red for our room but for now this is all for now.

I also went out and stole a branch from the tree out side and glued little paper flowers on it.
A look that can be done in many different ways, you could paint the branch, wrap it in ribbon, add cloth rosette flowers, the options are all awesome.
