Snow Day

This is our new place...

All covered in snow. We were lucky enough to have moved last week cause today we are not going anywhere.

You can't really tell but that is Jones' truck completely covered in snow.

I guess we are just going to have to take the day off and enjoy our new place.

Valentine's Day

I like Valentine's day. I am not one of those people that feels annoyed by it, or thinks it's cliche. No one thinks it is cliche that we pick a day to celebrate Christ's birth, or death. No one thinks it is cliche to pick a day to celebrate soldiers or past Presidents. Just because we have a day set aside to show our love for the people around us doesn't mean we don't love them all the other days. I for one like celebrating, and any excuse to be a little more romantic than usual is fine by me. What I don't like about the holiday is the tendency to be completely self centered about it. The holiday is about Love. It shouldn't be a day that we sit around and try to count the people who love us, but rather a day we make an effort to let those around us know they matter to us. I have a lot of people in my life that I love and a lot of people I am grateful for. I had plans about how I was going to show them I care but this Valentine's day however, I am sick and although I tried the whole make cards with bug, I just ended up pounding my head and locking the 3 of us in the kids room, where they could do the least damage while I zoned out on a chair. Last night Jones and I discussed the possibility of him bringing me home chocolate but I told him it was ok cause I had already bought some for us. I told him I was going to fill his truck with something fun and festive, but then I got sick so it just wasn't going to happen. We laughed said our I love you's and went to bed. I feel guilty about the way I have been lately and not because today is Valentine's day but because I have just not been myself all week. How do you show those around you that you love them when all you want to do is sleep. All the time. I can't be too hard on myself after all I did make a heart on the kids cereal out of chocolate syrup this morning. :) breakfast of champions. I am going to put Toblerone down for a nap and maybe take one myself.

Happy Valentines day, and if you are healthy and capable of doing more than chocolate syrup hearts,take advantage of it, share the love.

Not my House

So we decided that with everything going on we are going to wait 'til Jones gets back to buy a house. This news was in some ways a relief and in so many others, discouraging. The freedom of being in my own home was something I liked the taste of very much. I still find myself imagining/ day dreaming about the home we were on our way to buy. I am not quite over the fact that where ever I live it won't be my home but I am know that it wouldn't quite be that without Jones anyways. We are moving along, trucking forward through the month of February enjoying as much as We can. It has been fun and I honestly love my life right now, so long as I don't think about things too hard :) I have things to look forward to, like my baby brother and sister visiting me next week, crazy excited about that. And wherever we might be or whatever we might do, I am for sure giving birth to a so far healthy little boy in a couple of months, and I can't help but be happy when I think about him.

Happy birthday C {pictures}

 We made puppets, and cupcakes.

Tober enjoying a nice Australian Ginger ale with daddy.
C let Toblerone and Tpants help open his gifts.

 Tober loved watching her brother blow out the candles.

C loved his birthday and it was really wonderful to see him so Happy.

Birthday: Seattle Trip Highlights

This weekend was amazing. It felt like a major vacation and We were only an hour from home! It was amazing to feel and look and act like our child-less selves again.
We stayed at The Inn at El Gaucho in downtown Seattle, which had great vintage charm and was super comfy, plus we had a view of the water {awesome!}

 We walked to Pikes Place Market for breakfast and ate at Local color, A little coffee and pastry shop that displays the art of local artists.

 Then we headed across the street and grabbed some fresh fruit to have around as we explored the city. I loved looking at the coolest broccoli I had ever seen.

Then We started what I thought was the best part of the whole trip. I have obsessively been reading Apartment Therapy for the past month. Getting inspired and dreaming of being in a place that would actually allow me to do some of the projects I dream about. So for my birthday Jones took me to some of the Coolest Vintage modern furniture Stores in Seattle.
First stop

We were pretty nuts about this squirrel lamp, {haha get it, nuts!}

Here Jones is looking at a book that has stencils of Street art around the world.

Then just down the Street We stopped in at

This super Green, Super inspiring store had all kinds things that made me go Ooh la la.

Like these neck ties made out of recycled audio cassette tape
 or their bowls made from records

And traffic sign chairs.

 Then Just a little Further down the road...

This is me sitting and pondering how badly I want this couch. $695 on sale, orig. $1200

Or this Glider, Love it! $999

And then of course how could I not go to

How could I not go here considering I am 6 months pregnant. So many pretties in here. My favorite thing though was a stroller that rocked my socks.
And how is this for a bouncer $200

Later after all that walking we headed for massages and an amazing dinner and El Gaucho.
By the time We were leaving we felt like we had had a pretty perfect weekend.
And to top things off Jones got to see a Delorean, one of his top favorite cars of all time!

 Seattle you were a blast, See you same time next year!!
