Lucy's bedroom

Dana over at MADE is painting her little girls room and asking for help. This is what I suggested.
blue-Bay Waves 4008-1A, Parakeet Green 6010-10, Grand Hotel Geranium Pink 1005-1B, Pink Burst 1003-1A, Peach Punch 1008-2A, Black-New Black

That is a total of 6 paints, but you would only need a lot of the Bay waves color. I think it is a good neutral color that allows you to use white, grey and black furnishings. Painting a mural on the wall is always a good cheap solution to add punch to a room. You can also take the basic shape of the flower and create a border around chalkboard paint on the wall with the kitchen on it. If you want more color Simply create an accent wall in one of the pinks, Or even the green.

The chandelier hanging above the bed is one I made out of cardboard using an Ikea light cord. You can paint it any color and make it any shape! And Target sells these fabulous crystals {7.99}that you can dangle off the chandelier, she will really feel like a princess.

The best part is it can grow with her!

If you aren't comfortable painting free form, you can take this image of the flowers and download it at Rasterbator.com, It will turn it into a pdf. for free and you can then print it out and use it as a stencil! Easy peezy. :)

Tuesday

I just found out it is Tuesday, I was a little lost for a minute. Yesterday I didn't do either of the things I talked about doing. I made a small dent in the pile of clothes up stairs, and cleaned the craft room but I didn't make anything. Well that isn't entirely true, I put together this picture which I think I am going to use for the Rasterbator, and hang in the craft room.

And then I went out and enjoyed the sun as it made it's afternoon appearance, and got a wonderful dose of this adorable baby, Finn.
I just realized that tommorow is Wed. which means more toddler crafts right Pip? That should be fun and then I get to see her little one as well. It is nice to be able to hold a little one and not have had to just given birth to them :)

In the sewing through the Decades challenge I was going to make some pretty hair things inspired by this picture Lemon Sqeezy posted.

But then I saw this postcard she posted and knew I had already made something from this decade without knowing it.

My very own Hobble Skirt.

So I have a little more time to make something for the 20's. This is going to be good.

Feeling Sick

Some Delicious Inspiration
L'Opera At Shabby Apple
I am not feeling very well today, I wonder if that will slow me down. While physically my body wants to lay down drink hot cocoa and watch a movie, my mind is in the mood to create. Christie over at A Lemon Squeezy Home is having a challenge about sewing through the decades and I have been thinking about the various dresses I could make. It probably isn't a good idea to try while sick, but I really want to. :)

My Making place

I don't know why but the term Craft room is starting to bug me so I am going to have to come up with a new term.

Anyways
I found these pics while reading a blog called {Black.White.Yellow} I can't believe it is someone's actual home. I immediately knew I wanted to create a Space like this in my new making place. The black and yellow are a little harsh for me but the white is so soothing, the ruffles so girly and the clean lines leave my imagination free to run wild.

All I have to do is figure out how to make this happen, without spending too much money. At the moment my sewing table is a door set on top of some wire shelves and a set of drawers. :)

The Brass Razoo { a dream to aspire to}

Amber Fischer may be a fantastic photographer but even I couldn't make this shop look bad. It is called the Brass Razoo and I want to go to there. I found it by looking up frame inspiration and this blue frame is pretty much what I want to use to display my jewelry and hair items here at home. I'd be lying if I didn't admit to wanting to one day run a little shop like this, maybe after my kids are grown and I have refined my skills. Something to dream about

Thanks

I just wanted to let all of you out there who read or write blogs know how thankful I am for you. It is really nice to know that even when I haven't talked to an adult all day and my kids are driving me a little crazy, that there are people out there who can entertain, encourage, inspire and appreciate me. So whether you are a Reader or a Writer, thank you, you make my day.
