these days

This last weekend we had S+hAha come for a visit. It was a real quick weekend trip, short but sweet, and now I am recovering from the yummy food and good company. I know they are family, but sometimes it takes me by surprise how much non blood related family can love each other so much. It was nice to feel that from them and for them.
Mother's day was awesome. It took me half the day to realize it was mother's day because Jones helps out most Sundays since the baby was born. After sleeping in, we lounged, barbecued and played Pandemic (my gift from Jones.) It was so nice that I can't help but want more :)
I have been in lazy lazy mode lately, which isn't bad, but it is starting to feel boring to be so lazy. There is one more month until C is out of school and I am looking forward to it. I am also looking forward to our family vacation this summer. We are making plans for a Florida trip. Should be interesting. Baby Everest is getting so big, which I wish would go hand in hand with sleeping longer. Every now and then he will sleep for almost 4 hours during the night and it is heaven. All other days its between 1.5 and 2.5 hours   at a time and that's never as nice. He is a really mild boy, not very fussy and not too expressive. He likes to look at me, especially when I talk and will give me little smiles once in awhile.
Life is good. Lazy, but good

Alfred, Alfred Alfred. I love you little man. You are such a boy. You are sweet and affectionate and playful as can be. You have a Stubbornness that can be infuriating and a smile that just melts our hearts. Happy 2 years son, and may we have many many more.

 Daddy's boy for life :)

The Fred turns 2 and 4 weeks

Today is Alfred's Birthday! We will be celebrating later today so I will post more about that later...

It has also been four weeks since Everest joined our little family. I can't believe it has been that long. I am doing well, mostly because I have the most amazing husband. He has been so supportive and helpful and just good at being a Dad.
